We are getting in touch today to share that Mark Kilbey, our Chief Executive, has stepped down from the position.
Mark has been an integral part of Take Off for 17 years and played a pivotal role in shaping our services and enabling thousands of people to look after their mental health and through peer support, help others with their recovery.
Under his leadership Take Off has grown from a small grassroots volunteer-led user forum in Canterbury to a charity delivering user-led support across East Kent.
Over the years, Mark has generously shared his experiences of using mental health services over the last 28 years and crediting peer support as a source of strength and an essential part of wellbeing a recovery.
We are deeply grateful for Mark’s leadership and unwavering commitment to our mission and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
You may know that Ellie and Wayne have been serving as interim Co-Chief Executives and are fully dedicated to maintaining our momentum and ensuring continuity during this transition.
